More than a kilometer long cave impresses with its beautiful decoration, spacious passages and big halls. It is not surprising that it is considered one of the most visited caves in this area.

Millennia of limestone deposition have produced, among other speleothems, massive stalagmites, which in some cases collapse due to their weight and poor foundation.

The main part of the system is the underground river Rak, which flows from the Cerknica plain. In the entrance pit of the cave Habečkov brezen, which cavers began exploring more than 100 years ago. For cavers, the cave ends at a depth of 338 meters with a siphon lake, and the continuation is accessible only to cave divers. In 2011, diver Simon Burja dived 138 meters deep in the outflow part of the siphon and deepened the cave to 467 meters. Habečkov brezen is considered the deepest cave in the municipality of Idrija, #Slovenia, and is ranked as Slovenia's 45th deepest cave.
